Professional bio
I am the economist at the investment management division of Morningstar Inc., where I have worked since June 2010. In my role as economist I track economic trends, prepare reports on the state of the economy, write research papers and commentaries, deliver presentations to clients, and participate in the tactical asset allocation committee.
I hold a Ph.D. degree in economics from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain. I earned the CFA designation in August 2013. Before joining Morningstar I held positions as a credit analyst of municipal bonds for Nuveen in Chicago, and as financial auditor for KPMG in Spain.
